Who we are

Born in 2001, Coochiemudlo Island SLSC is proudly part of Surf Life Saving Queensland’s South Coast Branch. We’re a small club with a big heart: locals, families and day-trippers all pitching in to keep our waters safe and our kids confident around the ocean.

How we operate

  • Season: Volunteer patrols on weekends and public holidays (generally Sept–Apr), with exact dates and hours set each season.
  • Programs: Nippers, youth development, training and skills maintenance.
  • Powered by volunteers: Committee members, trainers, patrolling members and families.

Getting here

  • Passenger ferry: Victoria Point Coochiemudlo Island in about 10 minutes, frequent services daily.
  • Vehicle barge: From Victoria Point (Masters Ave); bookings recommended, especially on weekends/holidays.
